I have hyperpimentation from using vitamin E oil on my face it burn my face leaving like a dark mask, when to doctor and she perscribed hyfroquinone which seemed to make my face darker, I have a reaction to sulfur drugs from searching the web this medicine has sulfur of some form in it. Now she has me using desonide in morning, then putting vanicream sun block50 spf and Aveeno radiant daily moisturizer at night my other doctor in 2014 gave me Hq/Kojic/hc/treat 6-3-1-.05. 0/0CR. I wan my face back to it normal color she thinks we should take is slow and that it will take a year for my color to return to normal. What do you think.
Desonide is a steroid which is quite effective in reducing hyper-pigmentation. But do not use steroids for more than 2 weeks since after stopping the drug use for a long time, the symptoms can worsen. Kojic acid and sunscreen can be used.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
