Suggest Treatment For Hyperpigmented Scar On Forehead
i had a scar on forhead a year ago , and it faded nicely the recent couple months but was still raised where u can see it from specific angles ,,, i decided to let it fade as much as possible n visited my doctor n i had a single cortisone shot which it seemed to be a bad idea , the scar doubled in size n later on i have hyperpigmentation on the side of it ..... n this situation lasts for a month now without a significant progress ,
need yr advise please about this current situation
thanks
hi...you have scar on your forehead..it is increasing in size..as you told you got single cortisone shot..usually the scar reduced with steroid inj...you said its increasing with..i dont think so that it can increase with it.. however you can try silicon gel(babscar, scarease etc)..which have effect in decreasing the size of scar.. one option is laser ,,,you can visit some dermatologist having experience in laser therapy.. another option is excision and post operative radiotherapy with in 24 hours of excision..
hope you get the answer ...if you have any question you can contact me ..thanks DR IHSAN
