Suggest Treatment For Hypertension And Myocardial Infarction
My mother is 56 years old suffers of hypertension and had a myocardial infarction. She has enlarged varicose veins on her legs. In two occasions she had a really bad cramp on her leg and feels a burning sensation that is unbearable it makes her cry, she describes she feels her bones are burning and twisting. After the second cram she noticed that the vein is not enlarged anymore, it turned black and she is experiencing pain more often. I thank you in advance and will really appreciate your advise
Hi welcome to HCM Crampy leg pains with blackish discolouration in your case is suggestive of deep vein thrombosis.Get venous doppler both legs,CT pulmonary angiography and ventilation -perfusion studies to confirm the diagnosis.Get a 2 Dimensional echo of your heart to see for any pulmonary arterial hypertension.Drugs like Warfarin will be helpful in her case but PT INR should be monitored regularly. In refractory cases IVC filters can be effective.consult your Cardiologist for expert management Thankyou
