General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Please visit an endocrinologist who will start anti thyroid drug carbimazole 5 mgm as per needs. Treatment usually continues for 12 to 18 months.

Your anxiety might be due to thyroid disturbances and it is reversible. Continue Xanax, do exercise, meditation, yoga and belly breathing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
