Suggest Treatment For Hyperventilation Due To Stress

I am experiencing hyperventilation/shortness of breath ,probably related to stress.It s been going on for a while now, usually I drink water , calm myself for a few minutes and it goes away, looking for a quick remedy..Called 911 a couple of times and don t want to go through this again.I did all the tests and all came out fine.Thanks for your help

Hello

I think you are having panic attacks most probably.

I would suggest you to try and take slow and deep breaths when you feel shortness of breath.

Keep one hand on your chest and other hand on your belly. Take deep breaths keeping the chest stable and inhaling deep into your belly. This will help you.

Also practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation.

Drugs like klonopin(prescription drug) can help to reduce stress and anxiety.
