Suggest Treatment For Hypogonadism And Gynecomastia
Doctor, i am male 28 india, i have very less body hairs and facial hairs, also i am suffering from hypogonadism (less muscle mass, gynecomastia, small testis, less hairs) kindly help as i feel very low with a zero self confidence level. And i would like to ask if testosterone supplements would be safe for me?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The signs that you have mentioned are suggestive of hypogonadism. However, testosterone supplements are not recommended. I suggest you to consult an endocrinologist for clinical assessment, investigations which consists of assessment of pituitary hormones and gonadal hormones and thus management. Hormonal abnormalities can occur at various levels- at the level of pituitary gland, at the level of gonads or at the level of end organ receptors. Treatment depends on the level involved thus, it is not recommended to start any medication without proper guidance.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
