Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism And Elevated TSH Levels

Hi Dr, Im having hypothyrioidism and Dr.advised me to take 100mcg and TSH level has reduced below normal range like arnd .01 and then I have taken 75mcg but I again this elevated my TSJ in the range of 10 , so can I maintain 100mcg if so what is lowest TSH value which should be ok ? Or can I start taking 88mcg?

Hi,

At least 1 miu/l. See units, sometimes they report in other units too , yes titration of doses accordingly done but Overt" hypothyroidism is diagnosed when the TSH is elevated and the T4 is low. "Subclinical" hypothyroidism is diagnosed when the TSH is elevated but the T4 is normal.

Hence, T4 is also important, (eat healthy food like antioxidants multivitamin for week in month, fruits juices, steamed vegetables amla, aloe vera, basil etc., are good in thyroid problems, in one research shown by breathing exercises like sky technique, yoga, normalized thyroid hormones in month along with regular medical checkup and treatment, you can also combine all these).
