Hi,

You are asking for treatment of hypothyroid, and your concern is that your stomach hurt very bad and there is blood from stomach.

• Could you please inform me if blood is dark red, or bright red in color.
• The color of the blood in the vomit may not always indicate the source and severity of the bleeding, but should always prompt investigation by your doctor. There are many causes of vomiting blood. • esophagus irritation
• nosebleeds
• gastritis, or stomach inflammation
• stomach ulcers

Are you taking aspirin? Or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug ? (Advil, ibobrufen). In my opinion there are some tests used for diagnosing vomiting blood cases :

• CT scan
•  endoscopy, a device that allows your doctor to look in your stomach
•  ultrasound
•  X-ray
•  MRI
•  You must to check your complete blood count

This helps to assess the amount of blood lost. A biopsy may also be performed to determine if the source of bleeding represents an inflammatory, infectious, or other source. Your doctor may order additional tests based on your blood count result.

You are asking about Hypothyroid treatment. May I know if you are diagnosed before with hypothyroidism? Did you check thyroid hormone level?

To be sure if you really have hypothyroid we must to know Thyroid Hormone level. Please check :

• Free T4 or free thyroxine index (low)

• Free T4 test (low)

• Serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) (high)

And if you have these level, doctor must to treat you for hypothyoid. Common treatment for hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid is Levothyroxine (Eltroxin). The right dose depends on the TSH level. My advise is to call your gastroenterologist to discuss blood vomiting. Consult Endocrinologist if your thyroid hormone level are Ft4 (low), TSH (high).

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further queries, please feel free to ask. I would be happy to help.

Regards,
Dr. Klodiana Poshi
