My dad had a heart attack 2 years ago at that time I noticed he was having trouble with his peripheral vision especially on the right side. At the time the cardiologist was not concerned,but he has gone for a CT scan this past Thursday and they have detected a shadow.This was after his optometrist noted changes in his vision this past November

with this symptoms your father should be investigated for glaucoma. anterior chamber examination, field tracing, fundus examination for studying cup disc ratio. if glaucoma is detected then treatment is to be started as advised by eye doctor.
