Suggest Treatment For Inability To Make A Fist Due To Swelling

I work on a tugboat, and yesterday at 7am, a 8 inch Nylon line came flying at me. I instinctively put up my left hand to shield my face as I moved out of the way. The line hit my left knuckle above my pinky finger. It swelled up at impact site. There is no bruising, when I gently pull and flick the tip of finger there is not any pain , and I can move my pinky finger. I cannot make a tight fist yet due to swelling still. Isuspect it's a deep bruise and NOT broken. What would you think? Anthony
