Suggest Treatment For Increasing Blisters On Arms Of Children
The grandchildren have developed sores that at first appear to be mosquito bites then become blister like and spread. Some only have a few spots, the youngest has two spots that have spread all under her arm and down her side. we live in the country and have pasture and trees and poison ivy and poison oak. we are also cleaning the pool at this time because I found evidence of two types of worms in the water that were probably transferred from walking on the ground.
As per my clinical experience seems to be in relation with contact dermatitis through bug exposure most likely. Primary guidelines for better recovery: - Preference of cotton, clean clothes - Local application of ice - Calamine lotion application 3 times a day - Steroid cream with hydrocortisone to be applied over sore areas - Anti-histamine as Diphenhydramine or else - Maintain their hydration with plenty of liquids
Discuss the need of any antibiotic syrup or tablets for prevention of secondary bacterial infection with your primary care provider.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
