Suggest Treatment For Infection In The Penis Area

HI, my 6 year old has a red, inflamed area at the end of his penis, in and around the foreskin. He is being treated with fucidin cream for an infected bellybutton (it is a very deep inny ) and I wonder if he could have spread the infection from there? Is it safe to use fucidin on his foreskin area? Thank you.

Sexologist 's  Response
Hi,

Considering his age it can be phimosis. If the issue is persistent, circumcision is the option. If already circumcision is done, local steroid application will help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. S.R.Raveendran, Sexologist
