Suggest Treatment For Infection On The Finger Nails
I have what my Dr. and I thought was an infection next to the nail on my ring finger. I have taken antibiotics plus covering it with neosporin for over a month, and the infection? is still there. It contains some blood , and it is very tender to the touch. It is raised above the finger, sits adjacent to the finger, and is about a quarter of an inch in the shape of an oval.

The mainstay of treatment for finger infections is antibiotics and proper wound care. The proper wound care varies for each of the different infections.
This can range from a simple incision and drainage of the wound to an extensive surgical exploration of the wound to remove as much infected material as possible.
