Infection of the organs of reproductive system is one of the common causes of infertility. As you are having infection currently it needs to be treated properly before planning to have another baby. I suggest you visit a gynecologist regarding the same as there is need to perform some diagnostic tests which might include imaging as well as blood tests. On the basis of results, further treatment plan can be made. If you are not happy with the current physician, you always have an option to seek advice from another medical professional.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
