Suggest Treatment For Ingrown Hairs On Amputed Knee

I have had me left leg below knee amputated and I get ingrowing hairs behind my knee( of amputated leg) they seem to be getting worse as they started with one and now their is four. is there a treatment other then cutting them out that I could use to help with the soreness and swelling they cause. they seem to get sore for a few days the puss then bursts out while I have my prosthetic limb on and then it s goes back to being sore, so the cycle restarts
