Suggest Treatment For Injury In Big Toe From A Dog

My cocker spaniel jumped and my toe six days ago and cut my big toe with his sharp nail... I ve been using peroxide and neosporin since it happened... It s still red and swollen across the top of that toe... It s been itching so much for the last two days... Also I am diabetic taking glyburide my mouth for years... What should my next step be to help this heal and quit itching??

Hello,

To quit itching you can only treat it with disinfectant such povidone iodine. Use antibiotics ointment topically. You can send me a photo of the wound. Tetanus shot may be needed also.
