Suggest Treatment For Injury On The Fingers

A few months ago an eldery parent mistakenly chopped off about 1/4 of an inch of two of his fingers. They healed beautifully and you cannot tell he ever had an injury. Since his injury though he claims something is wrong with his fingers because they are senstive which we assured him that they will be. He is not using them at all and whenever he does they swell just a little (we think from non use). There is no redness and the doctor is very pleased with them but he seems to be going through some sort of paranoia about them and is totally fixated with them continually claiming they are not right when in actuality they are okay.
