hi this is sanchita i am suffering from insomnia and gastric problem my doctor suggested me nexpro and placida after taking both i began to have good sleep and felt highly active and had no gastric problem. after having it for three month i stopped on my doctor s advice but again experienced insomnia. recently i.e on may this year i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and now i am again on medicines thyroxine sodium tab, thyrowell, goldcal k27. i badly need good sleep. because of sleeplessness i feel lethargic and forget many things. plz suggest me some medicine for good and deep sleep
If you have stomach problems, especially acid reflux, this may affect your sleep and cause you to have problems with sleep as well. I would recommend you to start Nexpro again as this reduces stomach acid and reflux. You may also need to have frequent small meals and avoid food or fluids 3-4 hours before bed. As for sleep, you may try sleep hygiene and recommendations on good sleep and if this does not help enough you may take Zolpidem at night as this is not much related to dependence.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
