Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have problem in sleeping since last 15 days. You keep on thinking useless things on bed and these things remain in mind while sleeping. These ruminations are causing difficulty in sleeping. In most patients poor sleep hygiene is the main reason behind such problems so I would advise you to improve your sleep hygiene as it will help in improving sleep.
- Fix your time to go to bed.
- Use your bed only for sleeping and not for watching TV or reading anything.
- Avoid tea, coffee, any activating substance or even alcohol in evening hours.
- Bathing with hot water in evening will help in getting good sleep.
- Don't think about not getting sleep again and again. Excessive worries about not getting sleep or ruminations result in further deterioration. If you don't get sleep with in 10 minutes of going to bed then get up from bed.
- Light exercise in evening will help in getting you good sleep.

If no improvement occur the consult a psychiatrist for treatment. For short term use medicines like benzodiazepines as clonazepam, alprazolam are used. Z drugs as zolpidem, zopiclone are also useful. These drugs are liable to produce dependence so take the medicines under proper prescription of a psychiatrist only.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
