Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
The management of
insomnia depends on the cause. From you post, the causes of your insomnia can be well identifies: stress, anxiety and
depression. You may not need any medications to get over this, just recognizing the problems you are facing and accepting to challenge them is enough.I know this is however difficult to do but it is very possible.Giving in to funny thought will only wear you down.I will advise you try these measures:
-Get yourself distracted and take some time off to relax when you are not with your relative
-Exercise and stay active in the day when free
-Avoid or limit naps
-Avoid or limit caffeine or alcohol and do not take nicotine
-Try to get a fixed sleep schedule
-Avoid large meals at bedtime
-Make your bedroom comfortable
-Get out of bed when you are not sleeping
-Use you bedroom only for sleep or sex
If these measures do not work, you may take some sleeping pills like
valium at bedtime for say 3 to 5 days to help bring back your
sleep cycle to normal. If you still do not get sleep, i will advise you see the Doctor for an anti-depresant/
anxiety medication.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
