Suggest Treatment For Insomnia

Hello I have a huge problem . I can not sleep at night and talked to a psychologist for 2 years. Nothing helps . I always spend at least two hours to fall asleep. Sometimes I do not sleep all night. I do not think of something specific . I can sit on my couch and be fucking tired , but when I lie in bed, so keeping everything awake . I met a friend who gave me some Rohypnol . It Hjalt , and I was incredibly fresh in the morning, and I did actually my 9th grade on Rohypnol . After I stopped them , I am not moved on in my life. I do not want to get up , and I do not want to do anything. It s as if I m drained of all energy. Now I eat 5 x 10mg valium which I washed down with a beer or vodka for just being able to sleep fairly . I feel the pain in the ass because I do not want to fill me with pills and booze every night to sleep. That is why my question on whether there are pills that are just as strong and effective as Rohypnol? It should just be like with Rohypnol where I am fresh and full of energy and lust for life when I wake up .. My doctor says I can not live on Rohypnol for life. He s right .... But I can not live like a vegetable the rest of my life. And if I can complete training on Rohypnol or something similar , so I will be happy and it will be a victory for me . Perhaps it would also make me feel better tilpads such that I no longer have to eat pills to sleep. What can you recommend the pills? Do not tell me to talk to my doctor , because it is tried several times without success. I feel almost that he s making fun of me and says : You drink too much coffee before catching up .. Which I do . He forgets to mention my father and brother who committed suicide . I was 13 when I got to the hospital and saw my brother with a hole in the head from a 9mm .

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us,

There are several causes of insomnia which include depressive illness, drugs, stimulants, stress and other mental disorders. A thorough psychological assessment would reveal the causes of insomnia in your case which could be more than one. Taking alcohol is one of the causes of insomnia in the long run. In short term it helps you sleep well which gives a false sense of well being because alcohol, when taken regularly for sleep leads to insomnia. So alcohol intake could have worsened your already existing insomnia. It is also not advisable to take alcohol with medications like Valium. After taking rohypnol or valium regularly for a long time, it tends to cause physical dependence and tolerance which in itself causes insomnia.

It is advisable to consult an experienced psychiatrist for assessment and treatment which includes detoxification.

Hope your query is answered.
