Suggest Treatment For Interictal Seizures

I heard that the vagus nerve can have something to do with seizures. I have been diagnosed with interictal seizures. None the meds helped. This has been going on since the 80 s During an episode which only occurs at rest I experience an intense sensation in my chest all the way to my abdomen. Sometimes it causes my heart to pound. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Jackie Chepil

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The interictal seizure with pounding heart suggest anxiety and stress underlying provoking autonomic response of the body. In my clinic, I do recommend a low dose of beta blocker as propranolol or else if that is feasible on clinical grounds to be consumed with other anti seizure medications.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
