Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

If I were his doctor, I would advise him not to eat any food from outside if he does to avoid any kind of food poisoning or any kind of food allergy causing such pain. I would also advise him for an ultrasound abdomen to rule out a gall stone disease or any inflammation of the pancreas specially if he consumes alcoholic beverages. In addition, a base line ECG would be appropriate at this age. Apart from this, I would also advise him for some routine blood tests like a CBC, blood sugar, serum amylase and lipase, an liver function test and a urine test. Till the reports of investigations were available, I would advise him for anti spasmodic drug for a symptomatic relief.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
