Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Cramps And Constipation

I had an acute diverticulitis attach - sigmoid colon about 6 wks ago. I also had high slight to moderately high liver enzymes ast, alt, ggt.--- tbil, lipase, amylase were normal. Occult blood, neg. Second Ct Scan showed improvement. I m meeting w. a gastroenterologist tomorrow. I m still having intermittent cramping and constipation. What questions should I be asking and what further testing might be in order? Is it too soon to have a colonoscopy? My last one was 2012 and showed diverticulosis. Colon disease runs in the family... thanks

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

Some people also find relief from heating pads or a gentle stomach massage. People who frequently experience severe gas pain should see a doctor, who can help diagnose any underlying issues and give advice about how to reduce symptoms. Norovirus is one type of virus that can cause intermittent stomach pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
