Mitosis not evident.No necrosis seen. Alcian Blue-negative IMPRESSION: CONSISTENT WITH EPENDYMOMAGRADE II ;INTRAMEDULLARY TUMOR D5,D6,D7
The patient has Ependymoma and needs imaging of entire CNS (central nervous system) axis [that is MRI of brain and spinal cord] as the intra-medullary ependymoma may represent drop metastasis from intra-cranial primary in the brain. If there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the CNS, patient should be given radiation therapy at the site of primary disease.
