Hello
As you mentioned that you are having iron deficiency anemia . Why , iron deficiency . it is not known .
However ,this is some sort of confusing but may be helpful for you for management for your iron therapy.
In adults , the amount of iron lost from the body is relatively small. The losses are generally unregulated , and total body iron store are regulated by changes in the rate at which it is absorbed from the intestine..
Men lose about ).6 mg /d, largely in stool.
The amount of iron absorbed ranges normally from about 3% to 6% of the amount ingested.
Now note down the most of the iron in the diet is in the ferric form ,whereas it is the ferrous form that is absorbed.
So , as you mentioned that your are taking iron in diet as well as in the medicine form , so please be sure that your iron should be in ferrous form ( because this will absorb directly ).
So in my opinion consult a hematologist and get his opinion regarding proper iron form.
Good luck.
Phytic acid , oxalates and phosphates form chelates with food stuffs and chealtes don't absorb.
Good luck.

HI
Well come to HCM
If this is nail problem only and no other symptoms are there due to anemia then this could be fungal infection of the nail, and in my opinion this can be well managed with "Tab Terbinafine 250 mg once in day for 7 days, with the local application of Terbinafine cream this is what usually I prescribed to my patients, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
