Suggest Treatment For Irregular And Heavy Menstruation

Problems (from last 7 to 8 years):
•     Irregular menses (1.5 to 2 months)
•     Heavy bleeding (first 3-4 days)
•     Clots

My USG Pelvis report says,
•     Uterus: It is anteverted in position, normal in size and echotexture, no focal lesion seen, and endometrium is normal.
•     Ovaries: Both ovaries are mildly bulky in size and shows tiny sub centimetre sized follicles arranged in the periphery.
•     No abnormal adnexal mass is seen and no evidence of free fluid in pelvis.
Impression: Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)

CBC Report says,
Everything is normal except WBC differential count for Eosinophils shows 11, whereas, it has to be in the range of 0—6 percent.

Ferritin Serum value is 3.60, which is low as the given range is 4.6 to 204 ng/ml

Prolactin Serum, LH Serum, FSH Serum and TSH reports are normal.

Recent History:
•     Once in 2010, had heavy menses which continued for 1.5 months. Pause MF was given to stop menses and iron tablet with Ovral contraceptive was started. Harmonal test showe
•     Again in 2013, had the same problem of menses which continued for 2 months. But this time flow was normal. Pause MF was given to stop menses and iron tablet with Ovral contraceptive(3 months) was started.
•     Last menses came on 20th of Jan’14

Questions:
We met two doctors (Gynaecologists).

Doctor 1: Have asked to do the LH Serum and FSH Serum test again as these tests needs to be done on the second day of menses. Meanwhile, she has asked me to reduce my weight by 6kgs (current weight is 65 kg), change my lifestyle and asked me to start taking the medicine T Ginette 35, from the fifth day of menses. This medicine needs to be continued 6 weeks.

Doctor 2: Have asked me to reduce my weight. She told me I don’t need to go for any hormonal medicines. Reducing weight and improving lifestyle will help itself.

I am confused here, whom do I follow? Do I need to go with the hormonal treatment?
