Suggest Treatment For Irregular Bowel Movement And Loss Of Sexual Desire After The Hysterectomy.

I had a hysterectomy in 2010 and since then I have had complications with my bowel. I move my bowel an average of twice a week. Is this normal? What can I do to feel normal again? I also lost my desire to be sexual active. Please help answer some of these issues. Thank you

Hi,

Daily you have to pass motion. If it is not happening it has to be investigated by consulting a gastroenterologist at the earliest. It could be due to ovarian removal you are feeling less interest. There are so many ways to improve it. Consult your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. B. Radhakrishnan. Nair, OBGYN
