Suggest Treatment For Irregular Heart Beats And Panic Attacks

My blood pressure rises in the evenings and it triggers insomnia. I have been using Zopiclone 5mg to sleep. My echochardiogram reveals mild aortic insufficiency, trace of mitral regurgitation by color doppler, mild clinically insignificant aortic insufficiency. There was also clinical history of sinus of valsava small aneurysm reported on previous echo. I have had a TEE which showed normal. I am on Norvasc 10 mg daily. I have panic attacks, irregular heart beats. I am not getting any treatment cos my cardiologist says there is nothing wrong with my heart. How can that be? I am troubled and do not know what to do. I exercise, cutting out diary, meat, fish and chicken, minimal oil usage, lots of fruits and vegetables. I dont know what do do. Kindly help. Is the cardiologist right to ignore the echo report? How can my TEE be normal with the way I am feeling. What else can I do? I am 51 years old.

Hello,

Fear and worries can cause anxiety and anxiety can increase your blood pressure and your heart beats which in turn can trigger further confusion, negative thoughts and anxiety. Then the cycle continues. Manage anxiety and stress. Therefore, I suggest consulting your cardiologist for physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
