Suggest Treatment For Irregular Heart Beats During Sleep

My son sounded as though he was gasping for air while asleep. I went to wake him and he just laid there i checked his pulse and it was fast although slowed down quickly. I put my head on his chest to lusten to his heart and it beat although every third beat it would speed up for about five beats then slow down and continue to speed up.. What is this?? He woke up and said his chest stings

If the self-examination creating any doubt and no clinical symptoms are there then it is better to get done the EKG without this nothing can be cleared.

Let me explain to you self-examination may create the panic or may give different ideas.

Again the over consciousness may increase the pulse rate. Awaking from sleep for sure increases the pulse rate even may alter the heart rate but that is a temporary phase and it is a physiological phenomenon.

No need to worry about this, still just to clear the doubt EKG and clinical examination is a must.
