Suggest Treatment For Irregular Heavy Periods

I am 33 , recently from 2 months about i am geting periods for every 2 weeks and its very heavy, i am not able focus on work. I was prescribed Livogen- 15 tablets 2 per day, and Fibrnil - 6 tablets, 2 per day again. But even after I had these tablets for 2.5 days now, but periods havent stopped. Coudl you pls suggest any tablets , what my gyn has prescribed are they right medicines.
