Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstrual Periods

Hi, Dr am Mrs Babah from Nigeria, i have period disorder, am missing my period for 2 to 3 months, whe ever I went to see Dr they al ways prescribe 1 medicine called primulate tabs,after I finished the tabs I will see my period for 4days from then I will missed the period for another 2 to 3months,please I need your help am married for 6months now I want to have a baby.tnx

Hello dear
Understand your concern
First you have to find the cause of irregular period for proper treatment.
I think you have hormonal imbalance or ovarian cyst /PCOS.
Other cause should be rule out like endometriosis, adenomyosis/fibroid, thyroid abnormality.
Consult the gynecologist and go for following investigations like USG scan, ovarian follicle study, reproductive hormone and thyroid hormone analysis.
You have to take the treatment for 3-4 months to regularize the period.
Birth control pill or progesterone pill should be taken to regularize the period. Other causes require specific treatment.
Reduce weight and go for regular exercise daily. Take healthy diet, fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of waters.
