Suggest Treatment For Irregular Menstruation While On Duphaston
Hi im 30yrs old and married since 2012.PCOS.been taking clomipnene and duphaston but still have irregular menstruation.recently took duphaston last july 2-6 but no period yet till now.last night when we had intecourse and theirs a slight bleeding.had an endo hyperplasia in 2013(D&C).unembryonic pregnancy2014(D&C)....
* As per my clinical experience, the Duphaston contains synthetic progesterone in terms of Didrogesterone.
* If there is no withdrawal bleeding from stopping of last dose of Duphaston at interval of 7-10 days, reconsideration of medical therapy is requested.
* The oral contraceptive pills combined medication to be aken twice a day after meals for 5 days, which will be followed by menses within 3-4 days of discontinuation
* However, if no menses show up , secondary evaluation is must to look into the hormone deficiency at hypothalamus or pitutary axis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
