Hi I always had a regular period cycle. It alwys comes before two or three days. In the month of december it was before 4 days. but in january it is 8 days over & still did not get my periods. I had sex with my boyfriend in this delay time(expected date was 7 and had meeting on 9-10) its 15 today & still not get my periods back. Today i went to a doctor. My pregnancy test was negative and she suggested me to take cycloreg tablets three times a day To get my periods back... will it help??

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Cycloreg is a syntheic progesterone hormone. It converts the proliferative endometrium into secretory form.

During menstruation, the endometrium, inner lining of uterus is sloughed off and released out of the body. As doctor examined you and found no other reason for delayed menstruation, she just prescribed you this medicine to induce menstruation.

You can start the course and if nothing else will be the issue, you will get menstruation in 2-3 days after completing the prescribed course of the medicine.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. Take care

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
