Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods After Abortion

I had an abortion a year ago and since then my periods have been irregular, much, much heavier, I have started getting period pains with each period (I had only had period pains once/twice in my life before my abortion), and they now last on average for 10 days. Why is this?
