Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Polycystic ovary disease (
PCOD) is a condition in which a woman's hormones are not in balance. It causes problems with
irregular periods and make it difficult to conceive. But this problem can be overcome with appropriate treatment.
The following things needs to be done to increase the chances of conceiving in cases of PCOD:
1. Balanced diet consumption that includes lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low
carbohydrate and low-fat diet.
2. Do regular moderate exercise to help reduce weight.
3. Regularization of menstrual cycle by using combined pills.
4. Induction of ovulation by drugs like clomifen and/or
metformin.
Regular follow-up is necessary and medications adjusted accordingly so that it would help you to improve the chances of conceiving.
Kindly have patience in this regard and wait for it to happen.
All the best.
