General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the issue of irregular periods with milky taste in mouth may be in concern with

- hormone changes from hypothalamus, pitutary ovarian axis pathway

- polycystic ovarian syndrome

- obesity or BMI above 28

- insulin resistance

- ovarian tumors

- anemia and other nutritional deficiencies

* In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend

- ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis

- lab tests of hemoglobin, FSH, LH, TSH, prolactin levels for best co relation on clinical grounds.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
