Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods

Hi, Im 28 yrs old and got married 4months back..I am having issues with my mensurational cycle the dates are irrugular and even if i get my periods its very scanty.. I checked with a gyno on this and detected PCOS..she suggested me to take hormonal tab to get my cycles to normal..do the hormonal tabs have side effects or how should i proceed.. I was seeking for a opinion before i can proceed for any treatments..
