Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods

I have small problem in Ovaries, so I haven't been getting periods regularly, My gynic has suggested to take divery pills on every month and after the periods, Femilon pills for 21 days. and this course should be for 6 months. and My Gynic said, then i will get regular periods.. Could you pls suggest, Femilon is a birth control pill, so will it be solve my irregular periods problem too.. ??
