Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of irritated throat, loss of voice and persistent cough which are pointing towards condition known as laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR). It could be de to laryngitis as well.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to :

- Drink plenty of fluids and sip one warm water.

- Avoid spicy and heavy meals specially during night.

- Take a light walk after every meal.

- Take proper course of antibiotics.

You should consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may order certain tests like X-ray of upper respiratory tract and endoscopy. Doctor may prescribe drugs like ranitidine and omeprazole.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
