Hi,I am Dr. Robert Galamaga (Hematologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 53 and weigh 128 at 5'4 . I have found out I have premature chronic small vessel ischemic gliotic disease. The Dr. said not to worry at all to take an aspirn a day. I am very concerned afraid this will lead to dementia or Alheizmers disease. Is there any way to prevent more of the white spots from happening.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Its genetic disorder. You can slow the progression and avoid further damages. 2. Aspirin will reduce risk of thrombus formation. 3. Stress along with the disease will increase risk of dementia or Alzheimers. Try to do more problem solving exercises, it should delay dementia. Taking aspirin will delay formation of white spots. Do continue. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
