Suggest Treatment For Itchiness All Over The Body

Hello I am concerned about my friend , he s 50 and recently [ about 3 months now] started getting attacks of itching [severe] on parts of his body. he never knows when these attacks will occur. There s no way of knowing when and where on his body it will occur. he says it feels like ants crawling under his skin . It burns like cayenne pepper and has done several blood tests and has not come up with an answer as to what is causing it. He is a world traveler and runs marathons. eats healthy and trains daily. He has visited several Caribbean countries in the last year . When the itching subsides there is redness and swelling of the affected area.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your fiend have symptoms of itchiness all over the body. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like sensitivity to sunlight, frictional heat production, contact dermatitis can be caused by coming into contact with chemicals and poisonous plants, side effects or certain medicines, allergic reaction, eczema and psoriasis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain proper personal hygiene. You should take zyrtec once daily. You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin patch test , blood test , test for allergy and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antibiotics , anti inflammatory and immunosuppressants. Apply cold compresses to reduce the itchiness and inflammation.
