Suggest Treatment For Itchiness And White Discharge From The Vagina

hey I am a 22 year old and the doctor prescribed me a Mycorest 150 and said I must go buy a tube, I have a thick creamy white discharge and have a bit of itchiness in my vagina, the doctor didn t explain further that why exactly am I taking the capsule for...I need to know about it further

As per your complain it seems that thick creamy white discharge along with itching can be most probably due to vaginal yeast infection known as Vaginal Thrush..

Thick white vaginal discharge is most commonly seen in yeast infection therefore this symptoms further points towards the diagnosis..

Normally small amounts of yeast is present in the vagina but when the count increases over the normal counts then there is infection leading to the symptoms like those being experienced by you..

The medication given to you that is Mycorest 150 contains active ingredient Fluconazole and is an anti-fungal medication that is used to treat fungal/yeast infections..
Topical application of Clotrimazole vaginal cream and antifungal pesseries can also be advised..
Keep the area clean and dry..
Wear cotton and loose fitting undergarments..
Eat more of probiotics like Yoghurt..
