For last 3 weeks I have an itching feeling in my uretha where the glans splits on the underside, after any ejaculation or even just pre cum. It itches for a few hours and stops. Went to dr full std tests blood and ua both clean no uti. Did 7 days of antifungal. Just funished z pack for cough. Its gotten better in the last 3 weeks but hasnt gone away. Went to urologist and he gave me a cream and antibotic but didnt say what it could be. Wife went to gyno and had mild irritation at front of vagina and small discharge but no std or uti. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of itching at the urethral opening, your wife;s gyne examination showing mild irritation at vaginal orifice and small discharge.
In spite of normal tests for UTI and STD the commonest causes of such a problem is sexual transmission from either of hte partners.
Diabetes should have been ruled out.
This can be trichomoniasis and a simple medication like Metronidazole to be taken under the prescription and dose schedule by both of you can help a lot.
Use condom every time.
Keep personal hygiene well.
Avoid hot and humid atmosphere for both of you.
All these things together will help you the best.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
