Suggest Treatment For Itching And Moist Skin On Buttocks During Pregnancy

Hi my wife is 18 weeks pregnant and is suffering from itching under her bump this only seems to happen at night. the area is hot and often moist and the skin is delicate and can tear if scratched. She is using calomine lotion if skin not broken and placing gauze in the skin fold to try to prevent it becoming moist.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It is common to have perspiration and sweat collection in the areas between the skin folds, as below the baby bumpand bebelow the buttocks fold. She should wear cotton garments which do not touch these areas. she should apply talcum powder in these areas to decrease sweating and can use calamine lotion in case of itching.
Hope you found the answer helpful .
Wishing you both good health.
