Suggest Treatment For Itching And Swelling While On Benadryl
Hi. I just got my first Brazilian wax. Its been 5 days and I m extremely itchy and swollen. I have applied hydrocortisone, and vagasil to dull the itching. And I have been taking benadryl. Is there anything else I can use or do to stop my allergy reaction. Im also 26 weeks pregnant.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itching and swelling during 26 week of pregnancy. I would suggest you to use benadryl to treat the allergic reaction. You can take claritin, Allegra as well. The advantage of Benadryl is that it lasts longer. drink plenty of liquids and fluids. apply soothing agent on itchiness. You can also get an over-the-counter topical corticosteroid cream to help lessen the reaction and itching. Apply ice to soothe area. Visit gynecologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get it examined.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
