Suggest Treatment For Itching In Throat And Cough

I had a itch in my throat, I couldn t stop coughing for a good 3 minutes. When I was done I could taste like iron. Few minutes later I coughed up a lot of blood. Didn t last long but it was a lot. I don t have insurance and I m a single mom of two. I really don t want to go to the dr and spend the money but do you think I should?
