Suggest Treatment For Itching In Whole Body While Having Diabetes/kidney Stones

blood sugar fasting :113.0 FastingURINE (sugar) :absent S.Creatinine:2.2 please suggest ,my dad is diabetic from almost 20 yrs, 6months back have undergone bypass operation ,and now he is complaining of itching in his whole body and urination problem .he has got stones in his kboth kidneys.and was having paralysis almost 2 yrs back. please help doctor

Hi

I can understand your concern

Fasting Sugar of 113 is acceptable blood sugar control for old age patient with high co morbidity including history of bypass surgery. He also has stones in both kidneys and S. creatinine is 2.2 which is high.

If I would be his treating physician, I would like to advice him to have further investigations for Liver and Kidneys to find out the cause for his Itching. Before he can go for his investigations, he can have Tab Cetrizine 5 mg for itching as symptomatic relief.
