Suggest Treatment For Itching Sensation On The Calf Muscles

The back of my leg started inching on my calf muscle then it started swelling I am,50 I had exercised hard three days in the week it started the swelling when to my leg and foot on left side it went down a bit after putting it on a pillow what do you think the matter

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itching sensation on the calf muscles. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like xerotic eczema , senile pruritis , atopic dermatitis , contact dermatitis or infestations . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to rashes , keep it clean and dry , apply petroleum jelly on it and take antihistamine like benadryl . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like skin patch test or allergy test . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants or corticosteroid ointment .
