Hello,

Itchy skin is commonly caused due to dry skin. High body temperature at night can also cause itchy skin, allergy, dehydration, hormonal changes, contact dermatitis, autoimmune disease are medical conditions that cause itchy skin. You are suggested to run a humidifier at bedtime to keep the air moist and comfortable.

Applying cool compress is helpful. Take bath before going to bed and apply ointment containing vitamin E and aloe vera. Do not touch or scratch and do not allow pets in bedroom. Keep bedroom clean and change mattress to rule out bed bugs, etc. Do not touch or scratch. Applying ointment hydrocortisone is helpful. Do continue to take antihistamine at bedtime.

Get clinically examined by a dermatologist. You may need corticosteroids. Get tested for allergy and STI. You will be accordingly treated. Depending on the cause of symptoms you will be treated with hormone replacement therapy and phototherapy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
